Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut Iki Island Has Sly Cooper Easter Egg

Over the past several decades, there have been many PlayStation exclusive titles.Ghost of TsushimaIt quickly became a favorite in the gaming community and was able to be played for a considerable amount of time. Released last year with great success and popularityGhost of TsushimaRecently, a new DLC expansion was added to the site:Iki IslandIt is full of secrets and Easter Eggs that players can discover.

Iki Island, the first piece of Ghost of Tsushima new content released since Ghost of Tsushima: Legends was released. It is an online multiplayer mode that allows players to play after they have finished the main game. Iki Island offers much more than just new gameplay mechanics and content. It also contains many cosmetic Easter Eggs not found in the main game. Many of these references are to other Sony games, some even ones Sucker Punch has worked on.

A cave on Iki Island contains a cave painting players can find. It bears a striking resemblance with Sly Cooper, one the earliest franchises of Sucker Punch and a beloved first-party PlayStation game. The painting depicts Sly Cooper with his friends Murray the hippo, and Bentley the turtle. They have appeared throughout the series.

Sucker Punch should include a Sly Cooper Easter Egg because of its direct involvement with the series. However, this is not the only PlayStation series that Iki Island references. A God of War Easter Egg is also available in-game. There are also many God of War-related content players can find and utilize in-game.

It’s great to see Sucker Punch pay tribute to Sly Cooper almost two decades after it was released. It begs the question of whether there will be another installment in this Sly Cooperseries. It’s possible that Sly cooper could get similar treatment due to the success of games such as Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy or Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

It will be fascinating to see where Ghost of Tsushima goes in the future. Although it is unlikely that fans will be seeing another direct installment anytime soon (Ghost of Tsushima, Iki Island) this could mean that Ghost of Tsushima could get additional DLC expansions. The gaming community may be able to see more Ghost Of Tsushimacontent over the next few years, with any luck.
