However, it will be difficult for anyone to return to the PS4 version of the game.

Ghost of Tsushima runs and looks better on PlayStation 5. It also offers other enhancements that take full advantage of the console’s unique features. The PlayStation 5 DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback are often discussed, but they can really make a difference in the right hands. Sucker Punch uses haptic and adaptive triggers to great advantage in Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut . The PS5 game, Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut , utilizes haptic input to allow players to feel their sword tearing through enemy Mongols. Also, the adaptive triggers dramatically improve the immersion of bows.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut‘s PS5 improvements are fantastic across the board, elevating an already-great game to the next level. DualSense features will be a hit with returning Ghostof Tsushima gamers. They’ll love the virtually zero load times and performance upgrades. Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for PS5 is a great example of how developers can make the most of the console’s unique features.

These PS5 improvements are important, but Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut remains the same game as its PS4 counterpart. Players will be able to enjoy a vast, epic, open-world samurai adventure. They’ll have to kill countless Mongols, increase Jin’s skills by spending skill points and leveling up, free sections of the map, gather crafting resources, and complete other tasks typical of this genre.

Ghost of Tsushima’s adhesion to established open-world game tropes has been its weakness. Sucker Punch couldn’t have made it possible to correct that problem with the Director’s Cut. This means that many of the activities that players will be involved in will quickly become repetitive and boring before they spend much time with Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut.

Many of these repetitive activities will return to Ghost Of Tsushima’s main draw, Iki Island expansion. While players will be doing many of the same tasks as before while exploring Iki Island’s islands, that doesn’t mean that the expansion is disappointing. Although many of the activities and mission objectives don’t break new ground in any way, Iki Island still offers a lot to be explored and, for returning players, there is substantial new story content.

Ghost Of Tsushima: Director’s Cut presents the Iki Island expansion, and its new antagonist, The Eagle. The Iki Island expansion and new antagonist, The Eagle, offer a lot more of what the base Ghost of Tsushima game has to offer. Iki Island is full of Easter eggs and other interesting secrets to discover, and it’s definitely worth the price of admission for anyone that’s a fan of the base game. Although it’s just as good, Ghost of Tsushima players are still looking for something more.

Ghost Of Tsushima gamers can access the Iki Island expansion after completing Act 2. Ghost of Tsushima PS4 saves transfer to the PS5, so anyone that’s already played through the base game on PS4 can immediately jump into the new content. Iki Island offers new sights, stories, challenges, and trophies that should keep gamers busy for the next 10 to 15 hours.
