The Witcher Fan Makes Hilarious Birthday Cake for Their Boyfriend
Reddit user OptimusTidus, whose username may or may not inspire a slightly worrying new fanfiction craze, is the mastermind behind this tempting treat. They transformed what was already a tasty, soft dessert into an adorable gesture of affection using only paper, KitKat bars and possibly the most appropriate rubber ducky. He was most happy. Perhaps they should try some Pokemon-based food.
KitKat bars surround the cake, making it a faithful reproduction of Geralt’s wooden tub. Henry Cavill’s cut out of the titular Witcher completes the scene (albeit from only certain angles). The piece’s real star is the rubber ducky in unicorn style. It adds a touch of whimsy and evokes a particular moment between Geralt & Yennefer as seen in The Witcher III. The cake is likely to be slightly less sanitary.
Food is always a creative medium that can be used to make fan art. It’s one thing for a cake to pay homage to a favourite Disney movie or similar. It’s quite another to make something unique and funny by taking full advantage of the medium. OptimusTidus may have set a precedent for future birthdays.
We hope that future cookbooks based on the series and the game include something similar to the Destiny 2 book. Although it may not be true to the original lore, it is very mouth- and stomach-friendly. Art is supposed to be satisfying, and this is definitely one of the most preferred ways to do so.
