The line went on for years. Lexus has stopped taking orders for Lexus LX and NX cars in Japan indefinitely

Automotive News reports that Lexus has stopped accepting orders for new Lexus LX/NX vehicles in Japan. The demand is so high that it took years to fill the queue. Lexus LX customers were recently offered the option to wait up to 4 years after payment.

Due to the fact that production volumes are not sufficient to meet such demand, Japanese Lexus dealers were forced stop accepting orders for the Lexus LX/NX indefinitely.

Lexus stated that the LX is extremely popular in Japan and around the globe. They have received many orders far exceeding our production capacity.

Toyota, the owner of Lexus, is having trouble with production recently. The company has had to stop production of certain lines of machines due to a lack of parts and a new coronavirus wave. It will produce 50,000 fewer cars than it had planned in July alone.
