Google Maps, a mapping service, will soon add an unusual feature that allows owners of different cars to save money on their trips.
The application will ask you to choose the type of car that you want when building a route. This data will allow the service to build the fastest but most cost-effective route.
Google Maps actually has a similar feature. This allows you to create the most environmentally-friendly and economical routes by taking into consideration indicators like road gradients and traffic density. The current function is not suitable for electric and ICE cars. However, they both save fuel/energy in different circumstances so it’s only available for the former. You can use the new feature to create different routes to save fuel/energy depending on your car. The first tests will reveal how much you can save.
