With great fanfare, the United States presented the first image taken by the James Webb Space telescope. Elon Musk, via Twitter, congratulated NASA for commissioning the telescope and then trolled.
Musk tweeted “Nice try NASA”. He was accompanying a telescope photo of galaxies by a picture of a kitchen counter with a pattern that looks almost like a space photo. The image actually shows the galaxy cluster SMACS0723.
There is no malicious intent. It’s just a joke. The joke was appreciated by users – there are almost 350 million likes on Twitter under this image.
