Apple Watch Series 8: Extreme Athlete Pro Model

It’s not surprising that Apple Watch models will be updated in the fall. Apple will likely offer a Pro version of the Apple Watch that is more highly rated than the iPhone, and which should help it stand out from the Series 8 with larger screens and stronger materials.

Apple Watch Pro vs. Series 8
Mark Gurman, who has been accurate about Apple rumors many times in the past, reported: Bloomberg That Apple plans to release a Pro model of its Apple Watch. This version is more technical than the Series 8 and is expected to be priced higher. It is intended to appeal to outdoor enthusiasts and extreme athletes. The Apple Watch Pro designation is not the only one up for discussion.

Gurman uses the Pro suffix to keep it consistent with Apple’s product line. Customers are familiar with this term. The Apple Watch should have a heavier and more robust housing made of titanium. It also has a larger screen. The screen of the Apple Watch Series 7 is 1.9 inches. Gurman says that the Pro version should have almost 2 inches. The display glass is also more resistant to shattering. It has a longer battery life and better tracking functions. For example, you can record your location while running, jogging, swimming, etc. You can also get exclusive dials.

After the edition, this is the most expensive edition
Gurman mentions the $900-1,000 pre-tax range as a potential prize. Prices including VAT of up to 1,200 Euro are possible at the current US dollar/euro parity. The Series 7 already has a titanium case. It retails for around 830 euros, or 880 euros for the sizes 41 mm & 45 mm. The stainless steel version is available for 730 euros or 780 euro, with an aluminum housing costing 430 euros or 460 euros. Apple Watch Edition was an expensive version of the original Apple Watch. Apple requested prices around 18,000 Euros for an 18-carat case. The Apple Watch Edition was quickly discontinued due to low customer demand.

Apart from the high price, there was no technical selling point to this smartwatch. This would be different with Apple Watch Pro. If rumors are true, the other specifications of Series 8 are now compatible with them. The S8 SoC is a new SoC. It features a body temperature sensor to measure fever and an improved energy-saving mode.

The latter allows only the display of the time. It should be possible to display additional values in the future. Apple will also be releasing a successor to its Apple Watch SE. This is meant to replace the Series 3 currently on the market. The S8 chip should be available on the new Apple Watch SE, but it will not have the body temperature sensor.

There are many new products for the fall
All three editions will likely be revealed in September, when watchOS 9 is also released. At the same time, the iPhone 14 (Max), and iPhone 14 PRO Max are expected. A new iPad model, M2 Macbook Pros with 14 and 16 inch screens, an update to the HomePod, and a new Apple TV are all expected.
