Surface Duo 3: Microsoft is working on the next foldable

According to media reports, Microsoft has been working on the next generation dual-screen phones called ” Microsoft Surface Duo 3″. This update will focus on durability as it is still a problem for foldable smartphones. This is a report from the Online magazine WindowsLatest.

According to the latest rumors, the Surface Duo 3 is based largely on a patent application filed by the group. Microsoft has filed a patent application for ” FOLDABLE DEVICE”, a foldable display device. This patent application is clearly different from previous Surface Duo smartphone designs. Microsoft seems to be trying to use one display this time, with the folded middle.

Use stretchable material
Patent drawings show a dual-screen folding device with a single screen. Microsoft also refers to a “one-piece rear cover” that uses a stretchy material similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold. This new design is smaller than the previous one and does not take up much space in the case. Microsoft could therefore make the next generation of its foldable Android phones slimmer.

This design may also offer a significant advantage in terms durability of the connections between the two folded pages. Microsoft has developed a combination of materials that are flexible and strong enough to connect the display connections. This would reduce the likelihood of the device breaking and protect the connections between the screens. Microsoft mentions a foldable device that can folded 360 degrees in its patent application.

Surface Duo 3 patent
Surface Duo 3 is a folding glass device that uses a back panel with “back panel slots”. This allows it to fold without causing mechanical creases. Microsoft has made it clear that they want to make this device a reality with their restructuring of the teams.
