Nubia announced today that its flagship smartphone, the Nubia Z40S Pro, will officially launch tomorrow at $500. It is the most affordable Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered device.
The Z40S Pro’s 35mm lens is a significant advantage over the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, which has comparable models. Modern smartphones have a main camera that has a focal length of either 24 mm or 26, which is common in modern smartphones. The 35mm lens reduces distortion.
The main camera features a Sony IMX787 image sensors with a 64 megapixel resolution and an optical stabilization system. The ultra-wide lens module measures 116deg and uses a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN1 camera sensor. A periscope module equipped with an 8-megapixel Hynix hi847 Sensor provides 5x optical zoom. This is the only Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 model that comes with a periscope Telephoto Lens at this price.
The 6.67-inch screen of the smartphone is flat and has a refresh rate of 144Hz. It also features up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 flash memory, and up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The smartphone is available in two versions: a 5000mAh battery with 80-watt charging and a 4600mAh and 120-watt version.
