The new Mac Pro may be available on the M2 Extreme platform before the end.
Mark Gurman, a journalist and insider, added data to his information about this computer. He believes that Apple might announce the Mac Pro by the end of the year, but it will be on sale in the first half of next year.
The new Mac Pro was also allegedly ready a few month ago. Apple could have released it with a platform of the M1 line but decided to delay the launch until the SoC M2 Extreme is available.
The M2 Extreme’s specifications are not known, as it does not have analogues in M1 and M2. There were earlier rumors that the M2 Extreme would have 40 CPU cores and 128 cores. This is twice the amount of the M1 Ultra. So, it’s possible that this platform will be exactly what Apple intended. The performance of the M1 Ultra is a testament to the impressive capabilities of the new Mac Pro.
There are no rumors about the new Mac Pro. The new product could lose much of its ability to be updated or modified by users, especially when Apple Silicon is transitioned to it.
