Today, Huawei officially launched the Matebook X Pro 2022 flagship laptop. The Intel Evo platform is used to build the novelty. The basic version uses Core i5-1240P, while the top version uses Core i7-1260P.
The thin aluminum case of the laptop measures 15.5mm thick. The device weighs 1.38kg. Huawei will also offer customers a version of the MateBook X Pro 2002 Micro Velvet Collection Edition in magnesium alloy. Although the device’s thickness is slightly higher at 15.6mm, its mass is significantly lower at 1.26kg.
The IPS screen is the unique feature of this laptop. It has a diagonal width of 14.2 inches and a resolution of 3120×2080 pixels. Most gaming laptops do not have such screens. It has a frame rate at 90 Hz and covers 96% of DCI-P3 colors. This screen occupies 92.5%, which is a good indicator. According to the source, a hidden cutout of the screen houses a webcam capable of transmitting 720P video. It also has infrared illumination which is required for face recognition in dark environments.
16GB of RAM LPDDR5-5200MHz was used, while SSD M.2NVMe could store up to 1TB. Six speakers, six Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 adapters, a 60 Wh lithium battery, two USB C ports with Thunderbolt interface, and two regular USB C are included. The standard power supply can output 90 watts so that the laptop charges quickly.
