Huawei’s flagship 11-inch MatePad Pro 11 tablet has been unveiled. It is claimed to be the world’s thinnest and lightest 11 inch tablet. It measures 5.9mm thick and weighs 449g.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 inch features a 2560x 1600 pixel OLED screen with a 16-to-10 aspect ratio, 274ppi and 120Hz. The panel’s 10-bit color accuracy is perfect (deltaE = 1). This tablet is the first to be awarded the Full Care Display 3.0 certification by TUV Rheinland.
Two models will be released by the manufacturer: Snapdragon 888, and Snapdragon 870. The tablet features a graphene cooling and a vapor chamber. The tablet comes with 8 or 12GB RAM and 128, 256, or 512GB flash memory. The tablet has a Wi-Fi 6 (ax), 4G modem and Bluetooth 5.2 modules that include AAC and LDAC sound. The USB-C port offers 3.1 Gen1 speed.
The tablet comes with HarmonyOS 3.0, but there are some improvements. One of these is “Card Folder”, which lets you place multiple widgets on top each other to reduce clutter. Switching between them takes only a few clicks. Huawei has also improved the multitasking interface. Two apps can be side-by-side or floating app bubbles.
MatePad Pro 11 promises cinematic sound through six speakers. Four microphones were also provided to him. An 8300 mAh battery powers the tablet, providing enough power for 11.5 hours local video playback. The Snapdragon 888 model is capable of 66W SuperCharge fast charge, but also comes with a 40W charging adapter. The Snapdragon 870 model supports 40W charging, and comes with a 22.5W adapter.
The rear panel houses a dual camera, one with a 13MP main module (f/1.8 aperture, autofocus) as well as an 8MP ultra-wide angle module (f/2.2, fixed focus). The resolution of the front camera is 16 MP. The matte finish on the back makes it more durable and less likely to get fingerprints.
The updated Huawei M-Pencil with 1.5mm key travel and the magnetic smart keyboard are also introduced. The body footrest can be adjusted from 120 to 165 degrees. The keyboard is not fastened, but the case includes a M-Pen holder. The accessory can be used as a Wi-Fi amplifier by being attached to the keyboard case. According to the manufacturer, this improves signal reception.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 will soon become available in all countries. Base model with 8/128GB memory will be available for 480 Euros. The base model with 8/128 GB of memory will cost 480 euros. A version with 12/512GB of memory and an M-Pencil as well as a keyboard will be available for 1140 Euros.
