The 200-megapixel sensor on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra looks like it will be rebranded. Although the Hexa2pixel trademark has been registered by the company, there is not yet a description.
Although the name might imply that the sensor can be used to bin with six pixels being combined into one virtual one for a single image, this is only an assumption at this point. The pictures will have a resolution around 33 megapixels in this instance.
Remember that Samsung had a 200-megapixel sensor that was being developed for its next flagship. This means that it will no longer use ISOCELL HP1 and HP3. It is not yet clear if Samsung will make this new sensor available only to the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
