Rockstar has released new information about Grand Theft Auto VI. The game is currently being developed for PC and modern consoles. According to reports, the game will be set in Vice City and is codenamed Project Americanas.
Axios Gaming has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI was cut from Rockstar’s original plans. The original plan had four main characters and three cities. Bloomberg reported last week that the game would have two main characters, including the first female protagonist. If Axios is correct, there will only be half the number of playable characters.
However, the developers claim that the new game will feature more indoor locations than GTA V. This is a huge advantage. The developers also plan to add additional cities to the game after release.
Insiders claimed that Rockstar has abandoned plans to release Red Dead Redemption remasters and GTA IV as well as next-gen Red Dead Redemption 2 ports.
Rockstar, according to recent reports, is hiring and speeding up the development of GTA VI in an effort to win back the support of its fans
