The current console wars between Microsoft and Sony aren’t particularly prominent. This is partly due to the shortage of devices that has been ongoing since the beginning of sales. In an interview, Peter Moore, former CEO of Xbox, stated that Microsoft encouraged this during the Xbox 360 days.

Moore refers to the “red rings of Death” problem that users have dubbed it. Due to technical issues, the console’s LED ring turned red. It was only then that it became apparent that Microsoft spent $ 1.15 billion to solve the problem.
