SpaceX Falcon Heavy rockets approved to launch top-secret US satellites

The US Space Force has approved SpaceX Falcon Heavy rockets with reusable boosters to launch top-secret reconnaissance satellites. Bloomberg reported this.

SpaceX has launched American spy satellites into space using its Falcon 9 rocket in the past. However, it is not equipped to launch heavy satellites into space. Although approval was granted in June, it is only now that it has been made public. SpaceX will launch a National Reconnaissance Agency satellite into space.

Falcon Heavy, as noted, helps SpaceX get closer to its state customer (Bloomberg is focused on strengthening relations between Elon Musk & the Pentagon) and allows for federal budget funds to be saved through the use of reusable boosters. The US Space Force estimates that using reusable Falcon 9 rockets has reduced costs by more than $64million for GPS satellite launch missions.
