Honor launched the Honor Tab X7 last summer with an 8-inch IPS display, 5100mAh batteries, and MediaTek Helio T chipset. This model was available with Wi-Fi or LTE. Rumors suggest that a successor to Tab X7, dubbed Honor Tab X8, has been developed and will be released soon.
This new product features a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset that supports ARM Mali–G52 graphics. The processor includes eight cores, including 2 M Cortex A75 cores that can run at 2 GHz and six efficient ARM Cortex A55 cores that can run at 1.8 GHz. The screen resolution is expected to be 1920×1200 pixels. This means that the aspect ratio will be 16/10.
We don’t know much about the tablet’s specs, but we hope it will be better than the Tab X7, which was launched in May 2021. The tablet had an 8-inch display and a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. A MediaTek Helio P22T CPU powered it with 3GB of RAM. There was also 32 GB of permanent memory and a slot to store a memory card.
It was previously reported that the HarmonyOS version 2.0 would be available for tablets and smartphones from Huawei.
